UIC Impact Scholars
Presentations at UIC Impact day represents the highest level of engagement in high impact practices because students prove they are able to concisely convey the meaning of their experience. Because of this, students who engage in a UIC Impact student engagement experience and successfully present a capstone project during Impact Day will earn toward the designation of a UIC Impact Scholar. Designated UIC Impact Scholars will receive a special set of blue cords to wear during graduation.
In order to earn UIC Impact Scholar Graduation Cords:
- students will engage in at least two high impact activities at the university
- reflect upon the meaning of information and connections of the engagement experience to career goals, future plans, or societal impact
- present at UIC Impact Day
- create an ePortfolio that showcases work and experiences
